about.
Raised in Germany, I was caught by the travel bug early on and have lived half of my life as an expat - one year in South Africa, 13 in Tanzania, and six in Switzerland before moving with my family to Scotland in 2019.
Before graduating in Germany with a masters degree in geography (Diplomgeographin); I spent six months with a rural development programme in South Africa, which was followed by my final thesis on “Nature Conservation and Economy in South Africa”. I moved to Tanzania in 1999, where I spent years in the bush mapping wildlife areas and coffee farms. While raising my children, I worked as a GIS analyst in nature conservation and as a free-lance designer. This included the design of maps, books, brochures, logos, websites, house and interior design. Painting and drawing in my spare time, my works have been exhibited in Germany, Morocco, Tanzania and South Africa.
Combining my experience in different countries, my geographic studies and my passion for writing, art and design, I currently work as a freelance writer and designer on a variety of projects for clients all over the globe.
